Miacasa insulated rolling shutter presents an ideal solution where the environment of your building needs to be consistent & at the same time it should enhance the look of any modern architecture. Insulated rolling shutter minimizes energy loss, both with heat ‘flow-through’ and round the curtain. They are suitable for loading bays, factories, warehouses, and any applications where security is required together with thermal insulation.

Our Insulated rolling shutter is custom designed to suit your specification as the shutter strips are individually insulated with PUF/ Rockwool and provide an improved insulation value to that stipulated by standard building regulations. Insulated GI Rolling Shutter

barrel

The barrel is made out of heavy-duty MS steel pipe, welded with the axle of sizes f35-f50mm according to the sizes of shutters. This barrel is fixed to the right and left endplates with heavy-duty sealed roller bearings.

CURTAIN SLAT

The shutter curtain is made of 0.8mm thick, 75mm pitch and 19mm wide superior double skin zincalume steel slats. These slats are manufactured by a roll forming process and constructed of reinforced interlocking slat profiles. The hollow of the slat is filled with mineral rock wool of a minimum density of 80 kg/m3 to provide thermal and acoustic insulation.

SHUTTER BOX

The shutter box is made from two heavy duty steel endplates of thickness 4-7mm according to the size of the shutter; joined together by using 5 nos. of 50mm ´ 25mm steel hollow sections and in black color primer finish. Two nos. of 50mm x 50mm x 4.5mm thick steel angles with slotted fixing holes to be welded with end plates for fixing the shutter box to structure.

SIDE RAILS

For exposed and concealed face fixing applications, ‘G’ shaped guides made of heavy duty 30mm wide by 60mm deep by 3mm thick galvanized steel is used.

BOX COVER

Shutter box covers are made out of 1mm thick galvanized steel sheets, with folded edges for rigidity.

United Arab Emirates

BOTTOM BAR

Leading slat is roll-formed from galvanized steel with a thickness equivalent to that of the slat. T50mm x 50mm x 5mm thick galvanized steel angle bars are bolted to the leading slat to form the bottom bar.

SHUTTER OPERATOR

Suitably sized, fully enclosed design motor with high starting torque, built-in gear box, built-in thermal protector is used. Shutter operators are provided with “endless hand chain” for manual operation from ground level. An “emergency-release lever” shall be provided for emergency closing operation.

PUSH BUTTON CONTROL

Push button control with ‘up’, ‘down’, ‘stop’ buttons are housed in a lockable push button box. Outer cover of the push button box is in stainless steel.

MAX SIZES

12m (w) x 8m (h) Shutters with sizes larger than the above mentioned sizes can be fabricated and installed with special assessment and approval from relevant authorities.
